Scouting is totally dependant on volunteers and we do prioritise children of our volunteers. Think you can’t help out? Think again!
Feel you can’t commit to weekly meetings?
- No problem! We are flexible. All our volunteers have jobs. Are parents, have pets – all sort of commitments but still fit us in!
Feel you don’t have Scouting skills?
- No problem! None of us do everything. We are a team and all have something to give. But if you want you, we can give you those Scouting skills too!
Dont like teenagers?
- No problem! Try out Squirrel Scouts (4 years).
Don’t like any kids?
- No problem! We have lots of behind the scenes tasks – admin, minibus servicing, hq management, stock ordering, website updating…….. And if needed, we can give you a reason to escape your own kids for a bit too!
Struggle with your health?
- No problem! We are inclusive. And did you know that volunteering is proven to boost your mental health and wellbeing!
